TERESA ELLINGTON: Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor, Certified Pilates Instructor, Art Lover

Teresa has been a Pilates instructor with Womanology, Inc. since it’s infancy in 2003, and enjoys working closely with the wonderful staff.   She has spearheaded the addition of GYROTONIC® to the exercise therapy program at Womanology+Restore Him since completing her GYROTONIC® certification in 2007.  Teresa continues her GYROTONIC® training and completed her level 2 certification in April 2011.

She received her Pilates Certification from the highly acclaimed program at Orange Coast College in 2003, where she also worked as an instructional assistant for the Adaptive PE program in 2002 & 2003.  She continues advancing her Pilates training with specialized courses in post & prenatal Pilates, and Pilates for the breast cancer survivor.

Teresa graduated from CSULB with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. While she was a student at CSULB, Teresa performed as a modern dancer with The Rudy Perez Performance Ensemble. Teresa continues to enjoy art, dance, theater, and traveling.

Working as an Adaptive PE teacher assistant inspired Teresa to seek employment as a Pilates Instructor in the Physical Therapy environment.  There she could continue to help individuals in their healing process.  Teresa is excited to have the daily opportunity to help improve the lives of W+RH’s patients & clients through their exercise therapy sessions. She especially enjoys the family atmosphere and the genuine feeling of appreciation amongst her coworkers at W+RH.
